INTAD is an association for the Industrial Technology and Design Teachers of Queensland, years 1 to 12. The role of the association is to represent and assist industrial technology and design teachers in the research and development of curriculum programs and to provide professional development for teachers in Queensland schools.

Griffith University is the only Queensland university offering pre-service teacher training courses in the area of ITD.

These pre-service teachers are encouraged to become members to take advantage of the many benefits. Membership is available at a concessional rate of just $15.00.

The INTAD sausage sizzle held at Griffith University went down a treat. All up, I would say that there were around 60 people at the function. Representing INTAD were Ian Uhr (Treasurer), Steve Tate (Secretary) and Neville Warner (Manager) - and of course me. My thanks to them for investing their time on behalf of the asociation.

Those attending put away four cartons of beer, two cartons of coke, lots of bread and sausages. The loaves of bread and around four kilograms of sausages that remained were donated to a local homeless youth shelter - which was greatly appreciated.

The project's cost was $300.00 and I would like everyone's thoughts on possibly making it an annual event.
